Royal Enfield Himalayan is Rs. 1.83 lakh
The BS IV Royal Enfield Himalayan deliveries have finally commenced across India. Previously, the company had suspended the sales of their Royal Enfield Himalayan briefly since the bicycle did not meet the BS IV emission norms that came into effect from 1 April, 2017. There are no mechanical changes on the BS IV Himalayan except the fact that the motor is currently fuel-injected rather than the earlier carburetted edition. Together with the fuel-injected motor, the pet-cock can be missing on the BS IV Himalayan.
The Royal Enfield bike still gets the same 411 cc long-stroke engine that makes 24 bhp at 6,500 rpm and churns out a peak torque of 32 Nm at 4,250 rpm. The bicycle still gets a 5-speed gearbox and still is the only purpose built ADV within a price bracket of Rs.  2 lakh. The bookings of the Royal Enfield Himalayan bicycle had already begun a few months ago.
The on-road cost of the RE Himalayan is just RS. 1, 83,737. The bike was started in March 2016. The bicycle caught flak for having quality issues but the firm has worked upon them since. The Himalayan still does not get ABS, something that might have been added on the BS IV update of this Himalayan.
