After Ducati, its BMW which has started experience rides of GS range of bikes in India
For the first time, BMW Experience Ride has been organized by BMW Motorrad in India. BMW is organizing these events in 11 cities. The company will allow owners as well as enthusiasts to experience the GS range of Adventure bikes from BMW’s stable in India. The event will be held for days in every city they had listed. The experience rides will happen between 9th February and 21st April 2019.
At present, BMW Motorrad sells seven models of GS bikes. Starting from G 310 GS which is the most affordable Adventure motorcycle from BMW in India. G310 GS is priced at Rs 3.49 lakh ex-showroom in India. Next in the range is F 750 Gs and F 850 GS. Further climbing up the ladder is R 1200 GS and R 1200 GS Adventure.
BMW’s top-of-the-line Adventure bikes include R 1250 GS and R 1250 GS Adventure. BMW R 1250 GS starts from a price tag of Rs 16.85 Lakh ex-showroom, Delhi. Only these bikes are allowed to use in BMW GS experience 2019. BMW offers state-of-the-art technology in its top-rated Adventure as well as hard-core off-road bikes in India. There is a long list of electronic aids which are available for riders of all ages and experience.
BMW GS Experience rides allow both GS owners as well as enthusiasts
Speaking about the BMW GS experience rides. The first day sees the owners of 800 cc GS adventure bikes going through a Level 1 BMW Motorrad off-road training. The training is guided by BMW-certified instructor Shahnawaz Karim. The training session will help riders learn major aspects of off-road riding such as Correct Riding Position, Off-road Steering, Emergency Braking as well as riding on the inclines.

Through BMW GS experience ride and training sessions, the company is looking towards selecting the top three riders that will participate in the 2020 GS Trophy in New Zealand. The international GS Trophy is a multi-stage off-road rally where GS owners from across the globe compete. There is a second day of the event in which enthusiasts who don’t own a GS motorcycle can experience the off-roading on GS bikes which will be provided by the company itself.
After this GS experience rides, BMW Motorrad is planning for a Level 2 training program. This will be more intensive off-road training which will include sharp down-hill braking and riding across wide slopes. The schedule for Level 2 training program is yet to be announced by the company.
