Upcoming KTM 390 Adventure was spied in India again but this time with Saddlebags and Top Box
Everyone is eagerly waiting for the KTM 390 Adventure motorcycle in India. We talked about this bike in our previous post. Now the 390 Adventure was spied again with Saddlebags and rear Top Box. With more images pouring over the internet, details are getting clearer day by day. KTM had already confirmed that they will launch the 390 Adventure in India in 2019. Thus we expected the production-ready version to be showcased at the EICMA 2018, but it didn’t happen.
In the latest spy images, KTM 390 Adventure retains the 19-inch and 17-inch tyre configuration that were also seen in the previous test motorcycle. The tyres turn out to be Continental TKC 70 that offers 60% on-road and 40% off-road capability while returning higher fuel efficiency. The most important thing about these spy shots are the Saddlebags as well as the Top Box. These luggage holders will be available as official accessories upon launch. The Saddlebags and Top Box are tested for durability and also the motorcycle riding dynamics will be tested under full load.

KTM 390 Adventure motorcycle will get a stronger trellis frame with a rear subframe which is bolted on similar to current Duke 390 and RC models. The engine, as said earlier, will be same 373 cc liquid cooled, single cylinder pumping out 43.5 bhp and 37 Nm. No changes are expected to the ride-by-wire technology in the engine whereas gear ratios or final drive ratio might see a slight change to deal with off-road terrain.
The only thing we are missing is the spoked wheels on 390 Adventure. As everyone knows that alloy wheels cannot tolerate huge impact and tend to crack whereas spoked wheels are designed to absorb shock in a much better way during off-road riding. We hope KTM provides an option to choose spoked wheels over alloys.
