Like last year TVS will launch a special edition, Jupiter Grande, this festive season to come with more features
As the 2019 festive season coming up, all automakers are gearing up for new launches, facelifts as well as offers for the customers. The Chennai based Apache maker, TVS is also set to launch an updated version of Jupiter Grande. It is expected that new variant will be launched before the festive season to get as much from the sales as possible during the one month period.
The features which are expected from the upcoming Jupiter Grande are a fully-digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity. Not only that, the cluster will display a lot of information to the rider as well. However, the information will be less than what you can see on the Ntorq’s display as Ntorq is positioned as a sporty scooter. With the new connectivity option, you can connect your scooter with the TVS’ connect smartphone app. This will allow a user to have access to more features making Jupiter Grande the first scooter in India to have this feature.

The scooter will have full LED headlamp as we have seen in the previous version. Features like charging socket and underseat lamp will come as standard fitment. There is a possibility of new alloy wheels which would be different from the now discontinued version of Grande.
Powering the Jupiter Grande will be the same tried and tested single-cylinder, 110cc engine. This powerplant makes good 8bhp at 7500rpm and 8.4Nm torque at 5500rpm. The engine will be mated to CVT drive and will be BS4 compliant. Company says that the BS6 version of all its products will launch only in the year 2020 before the onset of BS6 norms in April 2020.
The expected price of the Grande will be around Rs 2,000 more than the current Jupiter ZX which is priced at Rs 57,443 to Rs 59,950 ex-showroom Delhi.
