TVS Apache RR310 once again picked up its sales momentum this time with nearly double the sales
India’s third-largest two-wheeler manufacturer, TVS is looking at something positive despite slump is overall sales in the industry. TVS Apache RR310 actually sold more than what it did in May 2019. In the month of May, 175 units of RR310 moved out of showroom whereas, in June 2019, this number rose to 338 units.
On the other hand, the sales of Kawasaki Ninja 300 fell down to just 110 units which were 174 units in the month of May 2019. It was in May when Apache and Ninja’s numbers were near similar. The Chennai based manufacturer launched an updated version of Apache RR310 in May 2019 with ART slipper clutch and a shiny black paint scheme.

Powering Apache RR310 is a liquid-cooled, 312cc single-cylinder engine with a 4-valve head. This powerplant pumps out healthy 33.5 bhp at 9000 rpm and 27.3Nm torque at 7700 rpm. The bike is track-focused and is capable enough to use for long rides too. Mated to a 6-speed gearbox, RR310 does 0 to 100 kmph in just 7.17 seconds with a top speed in excess of 160 kmph.
The instrument cluster is a vertical styled fully digital unit. It offers an array of information to the rider including a lap-timer. TVS Apache RR310 comes in two colors – Racing Red and Phantom Black.
Thanks to the necessary update, the sales momentum is being picked up. We can see even better numbers in the upcoming months. However, the overall market sentiment is saying something else, the combined sales of the two-wheeler industry is down bt -11.7% when compared to last year. We hope to see some light in the market in the festive season.
