2018 TVS Ntorq 125 Scooter comes with features like phone-battery strength display
2018 TVS Ntorq 125 Scooter: TVS has established its own much-awaited scooter, the Ntorq 125. The fourth version from TVS’ fleet — following the Scooty (Pep+ and Zest 110), the Wego along with the Jupiter — that the Ntorq is directed squarely in the young generation, using a performance that promises to match its own exciting aesthetics. Its styling, according to TVS, continues to be motivated by stealth aircrafts and while it blows off a comfortable shape, it will feature some striking particulars.
Also making its debut on the Ntorq is TVS’ exclusive technologies system, SmartXonnect, also it is the very first scooter, across all sections, to provide Bluetooth connectivity. Its fully digital instrument panel also provides navigation aid, caller ID and an (app-based) parking place assist along with three screen modes — Street, Sport and Ride Stats. The tool display screen also offers a lap timer, a top-speed recorder along with typical speed index, besides displaying the motor oil temperature.
To proceed with its sporty purpose, the scooter also includes a telescopic fork plus gas-filled shock absorber. For the time being, the Ntorq gets just a 220mm disc brake (using a 130mm drum in the back), plus it matches a 100/80×12 tyre in front along with a 110/80×12 tyre in the back (tubeless at end). The gas tank, meanwhile, is still a 5.0-litre unit.
Powering the Ntorq is a brand new CVTi-REVV 124.8cc motor using a 3-valve headset which generates 9.5hp and 10.5Nm of torque, which makes it the most effective scooter to be supplied by TVS yet. The Ntorq 125 was priced at Rs 58,750 (ex-showroom, Delhi), which is notable to get a scooter that this tech-loaded and performance-oriented. The Ntorq 125 will mostly compete with the Honda Grazia along with the approaching Aprilia SR125.
