KTM 125 Duke is the cheapest offering in India from the brand, aims to boost market share
KTM has finally launched the much talked and much awaited Duke 125 in India at a price tag of Rs 1.18 lakh (ex-showroom). The KTM 125 Duke is the most affordable KTM bike in India at present and it is expected to boost sales of the Austrian brand here significantly fetching it a greater market share in coming days. While the international market spec KTM 125 Duke takes design inspiration from 390 Duke, the India-spec model comes with cues from 200 Duke,
which recently got an ABS variant. Like the bigger sibling, the 125 Duke to comes with a single-channel ABS. Interestingly, this is the first 125cc motorcycle in the country to feature an ABS.
The KTM 125 Duke appears with its sporty look and the contrasting colour scheme featuring the brand’s iconic Orange-White-Black theme. A power source for the bike is a 124.7cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that is coupled with a 6-speed gearbox. The engine is capable of churning out 14 bhp of peak power at 9,250 rpm and 12 Nm of peak torque at 8,000 rpm. It uses a trellis frame and suspension duty is done by 43mm USD front fork along with an adjustable mono shock absorber at the back. For braking duty, the bike gets a 300 mm single disc brake at front and a 230 mm rear disc as well.
