Jawa Motorcycles has launched the much awaited Jawa and Jawa 42 in India. Based on the Jawa Standard, the Jawa 42 is a sportier and more premium motorcycle. What’s most interesting is the pricing of this motorcycle is cheaper than the Jawa. The Jawa 42 throws a tough challenge to the widely popular Royal Enfield Classic 350.

Speaking about the power source, the motorcycle gets energy from a 293cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected engine paired with a 6-speed gearbox. The engine is capable of churning out 27 bhp of peak power and 28 Nm of peak torque.
Royal Enfield Classic 350 comes powered by a 346cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine. It gets carburettor, not fuel injection technology. The motorcycle gets a 5-speed gearbox. This engine is capable of pumping out 19.8 bhp of peak power at 5,250 rpm and 28 Nm of peak torque at 4,000 rpm.
Evidently, the Jawa 42 kicks out more power output than its rival, despite having a small engine. No wonder, being a sporty cruiser, the Jawa 42 offers superior performance.
