Offline bookings of Jawa bikes from dealerships are running strong, waiting period extended till November 2019
Recently we said in a post that Jawa will start the deliveries of single disc bikes from the end of February 2019. But now there is another news about the extending waiting periods of your favorite motorcycles with “BEAT”. Jawa stopped taking online bookings on 25th December 2018 due to the overwhelming response and also said that they are booked till September 2019.
Classic Legends continued accepting the bookings of Forty-Two and Standard bike through dealerships. Due to strong demand, the delivery of fresh bookings will be done only in November 2019. Jawa is working towards the opening of more than 105 dealerships throughout the country and expects to complete the phase I by mid-Feb. Jawa will then enter Tier II and Tier III cities, after starting initial delivery of bikes.
You can book your Jawa at the nearest dealership
Classic Legends have postponed the bookings of Perak Bobber to September 2019. This is because they are focusing on the production of Forty-Two and Standard bikes. Perak is a classic themed bobber motorcycle and derives power from a bored out Jawa engine of 334 cc. The single cylinder, liquid cooled engine pumps out healthy 30 bhp and 31 Nm of torque at unknown rpm. Dual disc with dual channel ABS equipped Perak is priced at Rs 1.89 Lakh ex-showroom, Delhi.
Jawa has already shaken the world of Royal Enfield, it can be seen in the sales figures of RE. The Chennai based company was happily selling more than 70,000 units per month but after the launch of Jawa motorcycles. The sales fell to 56,000 units in December 2018.
There are many positives Forty-Two has over RE Classic, thus Mahindra made bikes are getting more bookings. It will interesting to see in the future whether production spec bikes will live up to hype or will settle down to under 10,000 units per month.
