Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350X ABS adds more safety to the modern cruiser that was launched earlier this year.
Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350X has received ABS as standard in India and the updated modern cruiser comes priced at Rs 1.63 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350X ABS appears as the safer version of the Thunderbird 350X that was launched earlier this year as the modern take of the popular RE cruiser. No wonder, this ABS will add zing to the already popular motorcycle. This motorcycle is Rs 7,000 premium over the Thunderbird 350X that was launched in early 2018.
This move comes to comply with the government mandate that says all the two wheelers with 125cc or above size engine have to be equipped with ABS as standard from April 2019. Also, Royal Enfield has been showing keen interest in upgrading its product lineup with more modern features and technologies without compromising the unique retro charm of its machines. The Royall Enfield Thunderbird 350X ABS is an outcome of that strategy as well.
When the Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350X was launched, the motorcycle came with a revised appearance compared to the standard Thunderbird. It sports new flat handlebar, updated and more comfortable seat along with centered foot peg position. A new paint scheme has been introduced to the model as well.
Speaking about its engine, the Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350X ABS comes powered by a 346cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine that is coupled with a 5-speed gearbox. The engine churns out 19 bhp of peak power and 28 Nm of peak torque. So far, the new ABS equipped model is same as the previously launched Thunderbird 350X with the same engine and gearbox.
